Overview

A desktop console that reads many sensor channels at once, shows them live and records them to file. This was built for internal use at a calibration lab, so this page is a summary only.

The problem

Voltage, current, temperature and frequency measurements lived in separate tools.

What I did

  • Brings voltage, current, temperature and frequency channels into one threaded application.
  • Handles six input module types.
  • Has a simulated mode, so it can be used without hardware.

Stack

Python, Tkinter, Matplotlib, NI-DAQmx, PyInstaller.
